BA 190: Travel & Tourism Practicum
Learn the essentials of travel planning, including travel sales and trends, destination geography, air reservations, air fares, ground transportation and hospitality.
MATH 190: Math Modules
The course will address the specific topics included in the Standards for Colorado Educators. The course will cover 1) number systems and number sequences, 2) geometry, 3) measurement, 4) statistics and probability, and 5) functions and use of variables. A common theme within each subtopic will be referencing the Colorado Model Content Standards in Mathematics for the improvement of instructions. A second common theme will involve negative attitudes toward math and the anxiety about it felt by many future elementary teachers.
BA 390: Research Seminar
This seminar will provide a forum for discussions of research design and methodology. Issues of ethics will be discussed as these issues relate to actual projects. The research projects will be conducted in actual organizations.
ED 390: Hist & Cult Sonora for Teacher
This course, taught on site in Bahia de Kino, Sonora, introduces students to the rugged state of Sonora, its fascinating and turbulent history inclusive of native cultures, conquistadores, and modern politics and the native Spanish and Mextizo cultural influences. Sonora’s diverse geography, stretching from the high desert of the Arizona border to the mountains to the beaches of the Sea of Cortez, is the backdrop. Local guest speakers include Bill Little, a specialist in desert plant life; Ramon, a carver of palo fierro; and Otis Turner, an expert on ancient tribal artifacts. Special emphasis will be placed on the history and culture of Bahia de Kino. The course will meet a requirement for the ESL/Bilingual Education teaching endorsement. A text History and Culture of Sonora written by Dr. Linda Simmons will be requested.
ES 390: Phil & Phys of Play and Sport
This course will combine a course in Philosophy and one in Exercise Science to provide the student with an experience combining mind and body to learn about the philosophy and physiology of play and sport. This course will also allow the student to experience what he or she learns in the context of applied action.
ML 390: Cuba: Hist, Cult, Lang
This course is part of the Cuba Innovative Month Program. Students will have the privilege of seeing the daily lives of different segments of Cuban society. They will be learning about and discussing vital issues facing Cuba with community leaders, artists, writers, teachers, farmers, doctors, and other groups. Students must register for this course through the Office of Extended Studies.

PSYC 390: Family Systems
Various theoretical perspectives applicable to the analysis of family structure and dynamics are studied. Critical issues in the application of family constructs to clinical problems are also investigated.
TS2S 391: Hist and Sys of Psychology
This is the same as Psyc 383. Credit will be given for only one of these courses.
