Jay Dougan attended Western Michigan University and received his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics. He then went on to attend The University of Notre Dame were he received his Master of Fine Art degree in 2002.  Prior to coming to Fort Lewis College Jay worked at Herron School of Art and Design, in Indianapolis, IN within the Sculpture Department.  He has installed Sculpture around the Midwest showing his work both regionally and nationally in galleries and museums.
