Gretchen has taught a variety of writing courses in the program since 2001, and has served as the Writing Center Coordinator since 2003. Along with extensive teaching and work with learning support, her professional background includes newspaper reporting and editing, technical writing, public relations, textbook copyediting, and freelance journalism. Her magazine contributions include local publications and extend to larger mediums such as SKI, Telemark Skier, and Transworld Snowboarding, where she covered business trends in the Rocky Mountain region in a monthly column for several years. Telemark skiing and a little snowboarding still remain significant extracurricular activities, as do all types of nature excursions with her three dogs. Gretchen also airs as a DJ on KSJD in Montezuma County from 9-11 am on Mondays. Gretchen's website is available here.
