Fort Lewis College is accredited by The Higher Learning Commission of North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
Accreditation Reaffirmation
Every ten years, Fort Lewis College is reviewed by the Higher learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools for reaffirmation of its accreditation. This process includes a self-study and a peer evaluation. During the spring of 2006, Fort Lewis received its reaffirmation from the Higher Learning Commission.
Accreditation Self-Study
The self-study process involved gathering information and evidence relevant to the Higher Learning Commission's criteria from across campus, in addition to surveying campus and community constituencies about important issues and holding meetings to discuss these issues. The self-study is intended to provide an in-depth picture of how well the institution meets the criteria for excellence in higher education.
