Campus Print Management Program Student FAQ
1. Why did Fort Lewis College decide to charge for printing?
Printing costs in the lab have continued to increase over the past few years. A limited budget for paper and toner forces us to begin charging.
2. How much will printing cost?
Black and white laser printing will be 5¢ per page. Color laser printing will be 50¢ per page. Plotter printing will be $1.00 per page.
3. How much print quota will be included with the tech fee?
$4.00 per semester. This equates to 80 prints at 5¢ per page.
4. What happens when my print quota is exhausted.
You will be able to purchase quota for your account using an automated print quota kiosk in Reed Library 156.
5. How do I add quota to my account?
You will log on to the print quota kiosk in the Reed Library 24/7 lab using your Fort Lewis College username and password. This kiosk accepts coins and $1 and $5 dollar bills. Transfer the desired amount to your account by following the instructions posted at the kiosk.
6. When can I add quota to my account?
The print quota kiosk will be available 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
7. Are refunds available?
Refunds for bad prints due to low toner or paper jams will be handled in Reed Library 130 or Education Business Hall 36. Please bring your bad print to one of these offices for a refund. Refunds will be issued to your account in the form of a credit only within 5 working days of your request. No cash refunds will be given.
8. Can I pay for printing with coins or bills?
Currently the only location that you may pay with coin or bills is the Reed Library kiosks. These kiosks do not have any of the lab software installed. You may print items that you need from the Internet or library databases only.
9. Does the tech fee quota roll forward each semester?
No it does not.
10. Does the purchased quota roll forward each semester?
Yes it does.
11. Do I get a refund for any unused quota when I graduate?
Regardless of the type, quota is not refunded upon graduation.
