FACILITIES RENTAL INCOME

I. GENERAL

Rental income from Education & General (E&G) Fund buildings should go to the central revenue account of the E&G Fund. However, certain E&G facilities, by their nature, are consistently used by the community and incur substantial maintenance costs as a result of this public usage.

II. USE OF RENTAL REVENUES

This policy clarifies the specific E&G areas which are permitted to retain rental income and provides that all other receipts for the rental of E&G facilities be deposited in the E&G central revenue account. The following E&G facilities are allowed to collect and deposit rental income from their facilities in a Fort Lewis College "special project account" and use the proceeds for maintenance and costs related to the rental of the space:

Gymnasium/Athletic Fields
Swimming Pool
Jan Roshong Recital hall
Theatre
Concert Hall
Center of Southwest Studies
