I. PLANNING FUNCTIONS OF THE CABINET

The Cabinet is an advisory group which reports to the President of Fort Lewis College. In regard to facilities planning and capital projects it shall:

A.  Review and approve revisions of the Facilities Master Plan which is reviewed annually.

B.  Review all recommendations for the naming of facilities and/or for establishing physical memorials.

C.  Review all signage plans that are used for the identification of campus facilities and that are used for the information, guidance, and regulation of various types of campus traffic.

II. FACILITIES SPACE COMMITTEE

The Facilities Space Committee shall:

A.  Review all General Fund campus space needs.

B.  Allocate space to various units across campus as needed.

C.  Recommend priorities among the various items in the annual small capital requests for construction and renovation projects (funded by the General Fund).

III. VICE PRESIDENT FOR FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION

In consultation with the other vice presidents, the Vice President for Finance and Administration shall:

A.  Determine that all proposed capital projects are in accord with the Institutional Master Plan (Academic Master Plan) and other goals and plans of the College.

B.  Determine that all proposed capital projects reflect a proper respect for the historical aspects of the evolution and development of the campus.

C.  Determine that all proposed capital projects reflect a proper consideration for the long-range functional and general aesthetic considerations including the important considerations of the preservation of open space and the maintenance and improvement of a quality environment on the campus.

The Cabinet includes:

The Facilities Space Committee includes:
