ACCESSIBILITY PROCEDURES: INSPECTION AND MONITORING OF ENTRANCES ACCESSIBLE BY INDIVIDUALS WITH PHYSICAL DISABILITIES

I. PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to establish a program of inspection and monitoring of entrances accessible by individuals with physical disabilities.

II. GENERAL

Fort Lewis College inspects, monitors, and services entrances accessible by individuals with physical disabilities on a regular basis.

III. RESPONSIBILITY

Campus Public Safety Officers who lock and unlock all building entrances daily will notify Physical Plant Services on a daily basis of any malfunctioning entrancesaccessible by individuals with physical disabilities. The PPS staff will, on a quarterly schedule, inspect and service all designated entrances accessible by individuals with physical disabilities. Pull pressures will be measured on doors that do not have power openers.
