Connecting to the M: and O: drives from off-campus
Note: To connect to your M: Drive via broadband (DSL, Cablemodem, etc...) you will need to download and install a VPN client then follow to instructions below for dialup. Click Here If you are dialing in to the Fort Lewis modem pool from off-campus, please choose the operating system you're using from the list below to connect to the M: and O: drives.

Mapping the M: Drive:
Once you have installed the VPN, you will be able to connect to your M: drive from off-campus. In order to do this, do the following.
1) Open My Computer.
2) Click on Tools --> Map Network Drive
3) Set "Drive:" to M:
4) Set "Folder:" to \\faculty\username (Note: replace the word username with your Fort Lewis College username)
5) Click on the blue portion of "Connect using a different user name"
6) For user name, type FORTLEWIS\username (Note: replace the word username with your Fort Lewis College username)
7) For password, type your Fort Lewis network password
8) Click OK
9) Click Finish
10) Your M: drive is ready for use.
Mapping the O: Drive:
Once you have installed the VPN, you will be able to connect to your M: drive from off-campus. In order to do this, do the following.
1) Open My Computer.
2) Click on Tools --> Map Network Drive
3) Set "Drive:" to M:
4) Set "Folder:" to \\faculty\acadcommon
5) Click on the blue portion of "Connect using a different user name"
6) For user name, type FORTLEWIS\username (Note: replace the word username with your Fort Lewis College username)
7) For password, type your Fort Lewis network password
8) Click OK
9) Click Finish
10) Your M: drive is ready for use.
