To Project a Video

Turn ON the projector with the remote control kept by the computer.  
The projector is located in the back of the classroom in the projection booth,
and you may need to get on the right side of the booth to the projector to turn it on.
After the projector has warmed up press the Video button on the remote control. For sound make sure the Amplifier (below the VCR) is turned on, the master volume knob is turned up to @ 7, and the volume knob labeled VCR is turned up. To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

To Project the Computer

Turn ON the projector with the remote control kept by the computer.  
The projector is located in the back of the classroom in the projection booth,

and you may need to get on the right side of the booth to the projector to turn it on. 
If, after the projector has warmed up, and you don't see the comptuer image projected- press the Computer button on the remote control. For sound make sure the Amplifier (below the VCR) is turned on, the master volume knob is turned up to @ 7, and the volume knob labeled Computer is turned up. The sound controls on the computer may also need to be turned up. To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

Projecting a DVD

Turn ON the projector with the remote control kept by the computer.  
The projector is located in the back of the classroom in the projection booth,
and you may need to get on the right side of the booth to the projector to turn it on.
After logging onto the computer insert the DVD into the Disc drive and Choose from the list of DVD player programs. For sound make sure the Amplifier (below the VCR) is turned on, the master volume knob is turned up to @ 7, and the volume knob labeled Computer is turned up. The sound controls on the computer may also need to be turned up. To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

Connecting a Laptop

In behind the computer there is a spare male 15 pin connector on one end that plugs into the laptop. Turn ON the projector with the remote control kept by the computer.  The projector is located in the back of the classroom in the projection booth,
and you may need to get on the right side of the booth to the projector to turn it on. After the projector warms up press the Computer Button on the remote to select the laptop. To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

Lights

There are dimmable incandescent lights in this classroom. The are two incandescent lighting control switches down in front of the classroom on far side opposite of the computer. One of the incandescent switches has a tricky clear plastic switch at the top and bottom that turns lamps on/off as well as  a dimmer slider control in the middle.

Slide Projector

There is a slide projector in the projection booth.  A key to the booth is available from Media Services (7417). The remote control is plugged into the wall behind the computer cart.
