Students - Getting Started in Moodle at FLC
Quick Links - Log In to Moodle. See also Students: Tips and some information from I.T., "10 Things New Students Should Know About Computing..."
Before you start classes for the semester:
• Know how to log in to campus computers, and on your own computers from WiFI hotspots and ResNet from the Dorms. See "10 Things...", above.
• Drink your milk.
On the first day of class:
• Check with your instructors if they are using Moodle for their classes.
• If they are, log in to Moodle with the same Username and Password you use to log onto a campus computer.
• Look for the My Courses block on the left side of the Moodle Home page, then expand the folders till you see your classes.
• If you do not see all the classees you should see, let your instructors know, and they can have you added.
In the first week or two of classes:
• Compile all the Due Dates you know of, and create a Calendar for Homework, Projects, Assignments, Quizzes, Exams and Work Group Meetings.
• The Calendar in Outlook can be used to schedule meetings with instructors, work groups or advisors. Others can send you Invitations that may ask you to Accept, Decline or if you are Tentative.
