1.    Boot up your computer

  1. Log on if necessary
  2. In the Dock click on System Preferences.  

2.    Configure your Network Settings

  1. Under Internet and Network click on Network
  2. Ensure that Location is set to Automatic
  3. Ensure that Show is set to Built- in Ethernet or Ethernet
  4. Under the TCP/IP tab ensure that Configure is set to Using DHCP.
  5. Click Apply Now
  6. Close System Preferences            
     

3.Connecting to the Internet

Run your internet browser. You will now be warned about possible security concerns. Ignore these, and click "Continue" until your browser brings up the login screen shown below.

Log In with your Fort Lewis Username and Password.

If you did not enter your username and password correctly then you will be prompted for your username and password again. Double check all your information and re-enter it.

If entered your information correctly you will be told that you are logged in and then taken to your set homepage.You will be greeted by the following screen. Click on the link that says "Click Here to continue browsing the web."

You should now be connected to the internet.

4.    Connect to your Network Drive (M: Drive)

You must connect via BlueSocket (above) before you will be able to connect to your Student drive.

  1. In the Dock Click on Finder
  2. In the Menu bar Click Go · Connect to Server…
  3. In the Address field enter the following: smb://student/username (Use your Fort Lewis College Username)
  4. Click Connect
     
  5. Enter your Fort Lewis College Username, Password, and Workgroup / Domain as shown and click OK.
