FLC News

Kelsy Woodson says she learned to dream big at Fort Lewis College. In June she is putting those dreams to use, when she climbs California's Mt. Shasta as part of the Breast Cancer Fund’s “Climb Against the Odds.”

“I have never climbed anything like Mt. Shasta. But I will do so with cancer survivors and other climbers who have lost those dear to them,” Woodson says. “We will be raising awareness about breast cancer, and raising money to help remove toxic elements from our environment that are known to cause cancer.”

The Fort Lewis College Cycling team defends its ranking as the country's #1 Division I collegiate cycling program this weekend at the USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals, May 3 - 5, in Ogden, Utah. The event completes the five-discipline collegiate cycling year, which also includes track, mountain bike, cyclocross, and BMX.

On a beautiful spring day in Durango, over 400 new Fort Lewis College graduates and their families filled Whalen Gym twice for the two April Commencement ceremonies.

The next steps after this special day are different for each graduate, but Commencement Speaker Ann Rhoades offered some advice that could apply to all of them.
