10 alumni vye for four vacancies on Alumni Association Board of Directors in 2006 elections

Ten Fort Lewis College alumni are vying for four vacancies on the Fort Lewis College Alumni Association's Board of Directors this fall. The balloting closes on Sunday, Oct. 15 at the Alumni Association's annual meeting.
Alumni can download a .pdf ballot and return to the Office of Alumni Relations and Annual Fund via email, mail, fax, or in person. Ballots delivered via email, mail, or fax must be received by 4 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13.
Every volunteer-driven organization depends on people willing to help lead and organize. For the Alumni Association, this group of volunteers is the Board of Directors. The roles and responsibilites of the directors are described in the Alumni Association bylaws.
Candidates who are vying for alumni office include: Russ Elliott (‘90), Monique (Bellman) Grinde (‘91), Shelby Settles Harper (‘97), Amy Kuhn (‘01), Rochelle Kent (‘98), Mike Levy (‘04), Sherri (Shepherd) Phippen (‘80), Jeni (Stangby) Reece (‘02), Jeff Stegeman (‘91), and Stentz Whitaker (‘99).

Starting with the 2006 election, the terms of Alumni Association directors will change from three years to four years. The Board will transition in size from 19 directors to 16 over the next few years. During this transition, the size of the Board will decrease from 19 to 12, before settling at its eventual permanent size of 16 in 2009.
