The National Collegiate Athletics Association (NCAA) Division II Presidents Council and the NCAA Division II Media Advisory Group have selected the Sept. 22 football game between Fort Lewis College and Mesa State College as one of four broadband (internet) NCAA Division II Football Games of the Week.

The Skyhawks home opener will be the first night game in almost five years, with kickoff slated for 6 p.m. (MST) on Saturday, Sept. 22.

2007 marks the second year of the NCAA Division II regular season TV and broadband package. NCAA Productions produced weekly football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball games last season and will continue to produce numerous regular season football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball TV and broadband games this season.

“The NCAA has worked tremendously hard the last few years to gain coverage and national exposure for NCAA Division II,” said Skyhawk Director of Athletics Kent Stanley. “This is also a great opportunity for Skyhawk Athletics to widen our brand and provides our fans and alumni that are not able to attend the ability to watch this regional rivalry.”

A full broadcast schedule can be found at www.NCAAsports.com/dii. The gameday broadcast link will also be available at that site.
