Alumni Association
Association Purpose
The Fort Lewis College Alumni Association began in 1962, and was officially recognized by the Colorado State Board of Agriculture in 1966. Since that time, the Alumni Association, like the institution it serves, has grown, developed and changed over the years. Today the Fort Lewis College Alumni Association has more than 20,000 members in more than 32 countries throughout the world. Its overarching purpose is to "strengthen the bond" between alumni and alma mater. Its services include:
- Publishing printed and electronic communications between the College and its alumni
- Providing scholarships to children and grandchildren of alumni
- Giving annual recognition to graduating seniors
- Recognizing outstanding alumni of Fort Lewis College
- Developing alumni chapter activities and events
- Establishing fund-raising programs for the college
- Sponsoring a number of alumni gatherings and special events, including Homecoming, the Annual Alumni Gathering and more
