Nominations for FLC Alumni Association Board of Directors The Fort Lewis College Alumni Association will hold its elections for Alumni Board of Directors later this fall. Four seats will become vacant this fall. Directors shall be elected annually to four-year (4) terms. Nominations for are due August 17, 2007. The election will close on Friday, Oct. 19, 2007. Old Fort alumni to be honored at Fall Convocation on August 25, 2006 Fort Lewis College will host a day of activities honoring Old Fort alumni on Friday, August 25, 2006 in Whalen Gymnasium and the Student Life Center. Old Fort alumni and their spouses will be treated to a coffee reception, an awards ceremony, special recognition at the Fall Convocation welcoming new freshmen and their families to campus, and an exclusive lunch. Save-the-date letters were mailed to Old Fort alumni in mid-May. For this year only, the special Aug. 25 events will replace the August Gathering. These events will also kick off festivities celebrating Fort Lewis College's golden anniversary in Durango. |

Alumni Association adopts revised bylaws A major revision of the Alumni Association's bylaws was approved by the Association members in order to correct a structural anomaly that has existed in the Association's governance since its inception in 1965. Passage of the motion required a 2/3 affirmative majority of those members voting. The members provided an affirmative majority of 95.4% in approving the proposal.
