More than 100 athletic alumni gathered on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2009 for alumni games in women's soccer, men's soccer and volleyball, plus a reception at the Irish Embassy Pub. The varsity beat the alumni in all three games: 1-0 in women's soccer, 7-0 in men's soccer and 4-games-to-1 in volleyball.
The reception at the Irish Embassy Pub also served as a vehicle to launch a loyalty program for the FLC soccer teams. Purchase an Irish Embassy loyalty card for $5 and 10 percent of your purchases between Aug. 22, 2009 and June 30, 2010 will be donated by the pub back to the men's and women's soccer programs.
