More than 100 alumni, faculty, boosters and friends gathered at the Irish Embassy Pub for a reception and "Think Pink" fundraiser for Mercy Medical Center. The downstairs bar area at the Irish Embassy Pub can comfortably hold nearly 100 occupants. Fortunately for the Alumni Association, people had a three-hour window to attend the reception, which ran from 7-10 p.m.

Homecoming 2009 — themed "Building Our Future" — was a busy weekend at Fort Lewis College this year. The wide range of events included the traditional (parade, bonfire, tailgate party), athletic events (football, men's soccer, women's soccer and cross country), alumni-focused gatherings (Alumni Awards Banquet, Irish Embassy Pub reception) and even the return of the Business Club's mud football, which took a one-year hiatus in 2008.
Some events saw record numbers — most notably the tailgate party and bonfire, which included prospective students and their parents visiting campus.
The dates for Homecoming 2010 won't be determined until late January due to a possible shift of athletics schedules by the NCAA. Once we find out the dates, we'll publish them on the Alumni Association web page. We hope you can join us! |
