Meal Plan Options

Fort Lewis requires students living in a residence hall to participate in a meal plan. Dining at the River Rock Cafe is an integral part of the student's college experience.

When choosing a meal Plan, think about each selection available before making a decision. Consider your daily routine. Will you often miss breakfast because of morning classes or sleeping in? Select a plan that best fits your lifestyle:

  • Unlimited Meal Plan w/$100 Flex Dollars - $1,772
    Enter the River Rock Cafe as often as you wish (during open hours of operation) to eat meals or snacks. Also includes $100 Flex Dollars to spend at any campus dining location.
  • 14 Meals w/ $125 Flex Dollars -  $1,702
    Choose any 14 of the 19 meals served each week throughout the trimester and $125 Flex Dollars to spend at any campus dining location.
  • 10 Meals w/ $150 Flex Dollars -  $1,617
    Choose any 10 of the 19 meals served each week throughout the trimester and $150 Flex Dollars to spend at any campus dining location.

Meal Plan Options for Commuter & Apartment Students

  • 5 Meals w/ $150 Flex Dollars - $600
    Choose any 5 of the 19 meals served each week throughout the semester.  Also includes $150 Flex Dollars to spend at any campus dining location.

Meeting your Special Needs

  • Special Dietary Requirements - Our Chef will be happy to work with you to meet your special dietary needs.
  • Sick and unable to come to dinner - have a friend bring your ID Card to the River Rock Cafe. We will be glad to let them pick up a meal for you. You can reach us at ext. 8141.
  • Dining on the Run - For when you don't have time to eat in the River Rock Cafe. Request your meal 24 hours in advance by calling the cashier at ext. 8141.

Making Changes to your Meal Plan

You can make changes the first two weeks of school prior to census date. Census Day for Fall Semester is 9/15/09 and for Winter Semester is 1/26/10.

If you wish to change your meal plan, go to your WebOPUS account under Student Services / Student Records /Meal Plans.

How it works

  • Your FLC ID Card provides you with access to the River Rock Cafe and to your Flex Dollars. Present your FLC ID Card at Campus Dining locations.
  • The meals on your ID card are non-transferable. Guests may not use your meals.
  • After you finish eating, please bus your own tables.
  • Take only the food you plan to eat, and be sure to eat all you take.
  • Leave your backpack at home, please don't bring them to the River Rock Cafe.
  • You must wear shirt and shoes must.
  • Lost your ID? Report it immediately to the SkyCard Service Center, room 58 in the Student Union. A replacement ID can be obtained for a $15.00 charge at SkyCard office.

Take-Out Policy

You must eat your meals in the River Rock Cafe. But if you bring your FLC reusuable mug, you can fill it with soda, water, etc. Other items you can take from the dining room include your choice of the following:

  • Two cookies
  • One piece of whole fruit
  • Dessert bar
  • Ice cream cone

This is a privilege we want all of you to enjoy, and would appreciate our cooperation.
