Being Vegan in Durango People generally think that being a vegan or vegetarian is a difficult task. I’m often asked things like, “How do you get your protein?” or “Don’t you miss eating good food?” or “Do you only eat salad?”, which only illustrates how many misconceptions there are about a vegetarian or vegan lifestyle. With graduation next month, I am compiling letters for individuals who supported me at the college. However, I realize that it was not individuals who enabled my personal growth, but the entire Fort Lewis College Community.

My home away from home

My home away from home One of the most significant changes when a student comes to college is the transition from living at home to living in a residence hall. First year students typically live with a roommate, must learn how to resolve any conflicts that arise, utilize time management skills so as to not get distracted by all the fun opportunities college has to offer, and choose priorities that may follow them through their entire college career and beyond.
