A stimulating freedom
Monday, February 17, 2014

A stimulating freedom The joyous moment has finally arrived: my last semester of college…gasp! The disbelief is mixed with the overwhelming excitement of what is to come May 3rd, which is graduation, on into the rest of my life. Being an extremely traditional student, having been in school constantly since pre-Kindergarten, the thought of school not being my first priority is a strange idea to digest. Growing up has never seemed so hard
Wednesday, November 13, 2013

Growing up has never seemed so hard I get asked the same question every time I tell people I am graduating in December: “What are your plans after college?” Until about 2 weeks ago, I literally had not a clue and it scared me half to death. There are so many different choices when you arrive: majors, minors, clubs, teams, and exciting things to choose from. I had no idea where to start. So, I went with what I was always told I excelled in: writing. Read the rest of entry »

How many restaurants can you fit in a small town?

How many restaurants can you fit in a small town?

Last night I had the delight of enjoying sushi for an appetizer, pork BBQ sliders and Cajun fries for dinner, then frozen yogurt for desert. Let’s just say that there is nothing quite like the dining scene in Durango. For a small town, we have more restaurants than I have been able to sample in the three years that I have lived here, and I love it. It is common knowledge that Durango has more restaurants per capita than the city of San Francisco: that’s huge, especially when you are like me and love having a wide variety of places to eat when you dine out!
