The Environmental Center is located in Room 202 of the College Union Building across from the FLC Ballroom and next to KDUR, the college radio station. Look at a campus map.

By Foot
The best and most scenic way to get to the EC is on foot. A trail leaves from behind the bike racks at the intersection of East 8th Avenue and East 8th Street that will bring you to a parking lot just below the College Union Building. From here, simply climb the stairs, cross the road, and go to the top floor to find the EC. Walking time from the bottom of the hill is 10 to 15 minutes.
By Bike
All the routes into are accessible by bicycle. From the bottom of the hill at 8th and 8th you can bike up the front hill. Racks are available near the intersection at the top. Unless you’re Lance Armstrong, from the bottom of the hill to the top takes about ten minutes. Biking up North College Drive takes about twice as long, but provides a slightly gentler grade.

By Bus
Durango Transit has two routes that will take you to campus. Once you get off the bus the College Union will be to your left. From the bus stop, the easiest way to the EC is to walk toward the mountains and then take a left. Go in the second entrance, past the cafeteria and Information Desk and up one flight of stairs.
By Car
From the east and south
From Highway 160/550, take a right on Santa Rita Drive to 8th Avenue. Take a left on 8th and go straight through the intersection at College Drive and up the winding hill to the Fort Lewis campus. The College Union Building is visible on the left as you reach the light at the top of the hill. During the school year, parking is available in the metered lot on the left just after this light. Alternatively, the next lot down has a little yellow box on the sidewalk that sells parking passes that will allow you to park in any lot on campus. The EC is accessible from the entrances on the west side of the building (when you are facing the mountains, west is to your left).
From the west
Take 160 East into town. Take a right at the intersection with Highway 550. Take a left at the first light. This is Santa Rita Drive. From this point, follow the directions given above.
From the north
From Main Street or Camino del Rio, take a left on College Drive. Go straight to East 8th Avenue and take a left. From this point, follow the directions given above.
