Making Waves on KDUR, 91.9 and 93.9 FM - Your Community Radio Station

Making Waves is Durango's premiere on-air community forum for discussion of social, political, and environmental issues.  Students on the EC's Media and Communications team interview knowledeable guests in order to educate the community about issues that affect their lives. Making Waves airs on KDUR every Thursday during the school from 9:00 to 9:30 am.

Thursday, November 6th: Our Sister's Keeper - Host Devon Dey interviews the staff of Our Sister's Keeper about their work advocating for women of color.

2008-09 Shows   

Thursday, October 9th - FLC Republicans - Host Devon Dey interviews the head of FLC Republicans.  They talk about a Republican perspective on issues in the upcoming election.

Thursday, October 2nd: Four Corners Office of Resource Efficiency - Host Royce Johnson interview Aileen Tracey and Riley Neugebauer, staff members of the newly formed Four Corners Office of Resource Efficiency (4CORE) about their programs and purpose.

Thursday, September 25th: LIFE House -

Host Ben Rogers interviews EC intern Melinda Markin about this year's LIFE House program.  LIFE stands for Learning to Invest in the Future of the Earth and focuses on the links between sustainability, cultural heritage, and community service.

Thursday, September 11th: Look Local First! Campaign - Host Ben Rogers interviews EC Coordinator and LOCAL Steering Committee chair Marcus Renner about this fall's Look Local First! campaign to keep dollars flowing in La Plata County.

Thursday, March 30th: Derrick Jensen - Part 2 - Host Nathan Keyes continues his interview with Earth Week keynote speaker Derrick Jensen about his latest book Endgame and his talk "Bringing Down Civilization."
