World

Global Greens - The Global Greens is the international network of Green parties and political movements. Global Greens seeks to promote the Global Green Charter among the Green Parties of the world, as well as kindred groups and society at-large; stimulate and facilitate action on matters of global consequence; and deepen communication among Green Parties and Federations everywhere.

Small Planet Institute - Frances Moore Lappé and Anna Lappé founded the Small Planet Institute in 2001 to help define, articulate, and further an historic transition: a worldwide shift from the dominant, failing notion of democracy as a set of fixed institutions toward democracy understood as a way of life, a culture in which the values of inclusion, fairness and mutual accountability infuse all dimensions of public life. On every continent, people are creating such “living democracies” as they discover their power to remake societal rules and norms to serve their widely shared values.

World Social Forum - The World Social Forum has now mushroomed into a global counter-force challenging the assumptions and diktats of imperialism and its associated neo-liberal policies that have over the decades, imposed colonialism and neo-colonialism; devastated Southern economies; bolstered the disastrous and repressive reigns of assorted tin pot dictatorships; marginalized women; disenfranchised youth; intensified the destruction of the environment; unleashed bloody, inhuman and needless military conflicts in nation after nation, region after region and deepened the exploitation of poor peoples around the world.
