In June 2003, Fort Lewis College, was designated one of Colorado's Regional Education Providers (REP) by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education.

The striped areas indicate an overlap of services between one Regional Education Provider and another.

Fort Lewis College

Durango

Fort Lewis College is Colorado's innovative public liberal arts and sciences college offering 25 baccalaureate degrees in the School of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, the School of Natural and Behavioral Sciences and the School of Business Administration. Teacher licensure programs are also offered through the Teacher Education Department.  The College is accredited by the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

 

 

 

 


Pueblo Community College

Durango, Cortez, Ignacio and Pagosa Springs

Pueblo Community College is approved by the Colorado Commission on Higher Education, which approves degrees, and by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education which approves certificates. Pueblo Community College grants Certificates of Completion (CERT), Associate of Science (AS), Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of General Studies (AGS), and Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degrees.

 

 


San Juan Basin Technical College

Cortez and Durango

San Juan Basin Technical College provides practical education designed to develop skills, work habits, attitudes and understandings, which will aid the student in the workplace.  Programs are designed to simulate the actual job situation as much as possible.  San Juan Basin Technical College is part of the Colorado Higher Education System. It is accredited by the North Central Association (NCA), Commission on Accreditation and College Improvement (CASI) and the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (Colorado Community College System, CCCS).

Durango
The Durango Adult Education Center is a non-profit organization that has been serving Durango and La Plata County since 1986. Through fundraising, grants and partnerships with other organizations, we are able to provide affordable educational services to our community.  The Adult Education Center is a private, non-profit organization that has been dedicated to providing educational resources for adults and youth in the Durango area for 17 years. We serve adults, seniors, and youth.

 

 

Archuleta County Education Center, Inc.

Pagosa Springs 

The Mission of the Archuleta County Education Center is to foster responsible citizenship through programs of literacy, education, vocation and life skills that meet the needs in our community.

This mission is based on the belief that learning is beneficial and valuable to everyone throughout life and that individuals living in small communities should not be deprived of educational opportunities.

The Adult Learning Center, Inc. provides GED Classes, Community Foundations, Family Educational Resources, Computer Instruction and Job Skill Assistance.

 

 


Southwest Adult Education
Cortez
Southwest Adult Education serves a vast rural, multicultural region of Colorado and have been developing curriculum materials and resources to address the multiple intelligences, learning styles and cultural preferences of our population. We are sponsored by the Colorado Department of Education through the Unlimited Learning Adult Education Center in Cortez, CO.
