Mona Charles

 

Ms. Charles received a B. A. degree in Anthropology with a minor in Sociology at the University of Tennessee in 1979, and an M. A. degree in Anthropology in 1981 from the University of Nebraska.  She is a highly trained archaeologist with special interests in geoarchaeology, mountain archaeology, and the formative period in the Southwest.  She has vast experience in both field and laboratory settings with an emphasis on geophysical prospecting and cultural resource management. Her other duties include part-time teaching, Director of the Anthropology Field School, Co-Principal Investigator for the Cooperative Agreements between Fort Lewis College and the Midwest Archaeological Center, and Principal Investigator for other cooperative projects and contracts. Ms. Charles and her staff at Fort Lewis College are noted for their thorough, well-written, and timely reports.
