A Hand is Not a Turkey, Part II: A Drawing Class for the Artistically Wounded (or Broken-'art'ed)

Instructor:  Brenda Macon

Fee:             $99, 4 classes

Schedule:   May 6 – May 15, 2014 - CANCELED

Note:   Students can take the Part One class (offered in March), or not. This is a more advanced class, drawing with new materials and techniques and will include an introduction to color theory and composition.

If you are stumped, in a stick-figure slump, or

just need a good perspective shift to improve

your art, this class is for you!

This drawing class is for those who have had negative art experiences in the past, who would like a fresh start and some serious support. In 8 hours of class time, you will be taken through a number of drawing exercises that will stretch your mind and develop your artistic confidence. Many exercises are inspired by the book, "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain," by Betty Edwards. We will break down drawing and 'seeing' skills into manageable parts.

By the end, you will enjoy your new found artistic abilities. You will be drawing multidimensional renderings of many objects, including your hand, and it will look nothing like a turkey!

Bring nothing to the first class but an open mind.

Comments from Brenda's Students

Brenda was so good to us, helpful, positive. The class could easily go double the time to give a good grounding, and I would love that.

Lovely woman. She certainly knew the subject matter. She made it interesting and inspiring.

She did a great job. She was very personable. She was very knowledgeable and provided good information as well as good exercises.

Only wish the class was longer than four evenings.
