Drawing gives us the opportunity to personally express ourselves through a meditative, responsive interchange of environment and process. It is relaxing, enjoyable and, as it brings cognitive balance to rigorous schedules, drawing has the potential to enhance our performance in everything we do.
This class will give a variety of drawing experiences and will develop the students' individual skills and personal interests, linking drawings and basic skills to thinking and creativity. We will use traditional and non-traditional approaches, compositional elements, and principles of design through visual exploration. Class sessions will be divided into a series of exercises to challenge your perception and skills. It will include digital lectures and show work related to the studio exercises through contemporary drawings. We will have individual and group critiques as well.
