I offer an integrative approach to therapy, prioritizing the relationship, and utilizing techniques enabling me to work in the realms of the somatic, emotional, cognitive and spiritual, with mindfulness. I also utilize CBT, existential, and psychoanalytical approaches. Ultimately, my belief is safety in the therapeutic relationship allows our authentic self to emerge, to blossom, and healing to occur.
I have a Master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling from Prescott College in Prescott AZ, and I am licensed in the state of Colorado. I also attended a two-year comprehensive Hakomi training, a body-centered psychotherapy model. I am a graduate of Fort Lewis College, thus I am thrilled to be a part of the FLC Counseling Center and community.
Most important to my psychology education was life’s school of hard knocks, and I often tell my students that all the learning does not happen in the classroom. I am honored to walk this walk with each student, sharing in the joys and pains of our human journey. I cherish my role as Mama- we are currently raising two pre-adolescent boys, and often find myself loving each client and student as if they were my own – nurturing flows from home to work easily.
