Fort Lewis College offers many opportunities for students to gain academic credit for relevant work experiences. Some of the programs are the Cooperative Education Program through the Career Services Office, Academic Departmental Internships, and Community Based Learning and Research opportunities.

Many departments have internship and other practical experiences built into the major. These are for majors in each area, and are not open to all students.
