Events & Programs

Career Services sponsors events and programs to help students and alumni with career planning and obtaining employment. The programs also provide opportunities for employers to meet and recruit candidates.  This page also lists events and programs sponsored by other organizations, which is presented here for your convenience but is not necessarily endorsed by Career Services.  Click on each link for detailed information and registration processes.

Career Services Events / Programs

  • Career Day - Wednesday, October 8, 2008
  • Job Fair - Wednesday, February 6, 2008
  • Etiquette Dinner - The Etiquette Dinner is a recruiting and educational venue where you'll visit with employers and learn the ins and outs of formal dining. The next is Tuesday, October 7, 2008.
  • Teacher Fair - In the spring, recruiters from school districts come to campus to recruit teachers. The next is March 18, 2008.
  • Seminars - Throughout the academic year, seminars on career topics are offered. The purpose is to help students learn how to develop a professional presentation for graduate school or for the job search. The seminars offered are Resume, Cover Letters, Interview Process, Career Planning, Job Search, CRE (Career Related Experiences), Graduate School, and Summer Jobs.
  • On Campus Recruiting - (and Related Activities): Throughout the academic year, employers are welcomed to campus to interview students for openings in their organizations. This may be done through individual interviews, and information tables and sessions.

Graduation

Twice each year, students walk across the stage to receive their degrees. Graduation is an important event that marks a student’s transition into a new life.
