Career Day (Fall) & Job Fair (Winter) - Students

All students are welcome to attend: freshmen, sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all majors and especially undecided students.

Freshmen

  • Explore the relationship between your studies and career options and paths
  • Learn about job opportunities for the summer, part-time during school, and internships to gain relevant experience
  • Ask employers what qualities they seek
  • Discover the skills that are important to employers
  • Enjoy yourself

 Sophomores and Juniors

  • Continue exploring your options - remain open to new ideas
  • Network with all types of employers to find the hidden gems of opportunity
  • Ask for feedback from employers regarding your resume, or about your skill sets

Seniors 

Now is the time to seriously consider employment options. While not all of the employers present will have immediate openings, they are excellent resources to learn about other types of opportunities or future openings. If you have attended Career Day throughout your academic career, you may already know some of the employer representatives and will be able to greet them as friends or as your future employer. If you don't feel there is are any businesses or organizations in which you are interested, remember that employers are great networking resources  If they do not have something available, they may know a colleague who does.   

The Career Fair & Job Day are opportunities to:

  • Gain employment leads
  • Set up interviews
  • Learn about career options and opportunities
  • Meet and learn about employers from a variety of fields
  • Identify career opportunities such as internships or other types of positions
  • Learn how your academic career will impact your choice of career field
  • Gain knowledge of skills that employers want
  • Have fun meeting employers

Registration & Cost for Students

Cost it's free! No need to register, just show up.  You may come by the event any time during the scheduled time.

Attire - What should you Wear?

Student attire is okay. However, if you are a senior and you wish to present yourself more professionally to an employer you may wish to dress in business casual. Be prepared to gain some useful information and to have a good time.

What to Bring

Resume, Letters of Recommendation, Transcripts, List of names etc. for references

Event Location

The Career Day & Job Fair are held in the College Union Building (CUB) in the Ballroom (above the River Rock Cafe).
