What Can I Do with a Major in . . . ?

Ever wonder what types of career fields, positions and/or jobs someone "with a major in . . . ." goes into? Here is a list of majors with related job titles. The information comes from a variety of resources and is not exhaustive by any means.

You may use the computerized vocational assessment program, FOCUS to explore the job titles that intrigue you. There may be some exact job titles listed, but if not look for related job titles.

Once you have viewed this information you may still be asking, "so what?" If that is the case, we encourage you to schedule an appointment with a career advisor. The career advisor can help you find direction and perhaps give you a new perspective in how you think and feel about careers. There may be an important minor or elective classes that will enhance your ability to compete in your chosen field. In addition, you can examine your academic plan with an academic advisor. With so many things to consider it may feel like you are being pulled in all directions. There are many things you can do to get everything moving in a useful direction.
