Individuals with training in agronomy, animal science and agricultural business often find careers in fields such as genetic engineering, nutritional consulting, horse training, farming, ranching, turf grass management, soil conservation, farm management, technical sales and service, high school and university teaching, livestock feeding, feed manufacturing, research and development, banking, extension, USDA grading and inspection, international marketing and futures trading.


Communicating for Agriculture Exchange Program
The CA Exchange Program offers exchanges for young Americans throughout the world.  As a trainee, students will learn about another culture while working and living in a new and exciting country. Students are given the change to work in their specified field. The program specializes in placements in almost all areas of Agriculture, Horticulture, Equine and Enology. Benefits of the program include room and board, a monthly stipend, potential college course credit, work experience in the industry of choice, possible grants and scholarships to help with the cost, and the chance to travel in the host country. Placement last between 3-12 months.
