
$200 Ronnie Thomas Memorial Scholarship
for Anthropology Majors
Ronnie Thomas was an Anthropology student at Fort Lewis College. Early on the morning of his graduation, Ronnie was in a fatal car accident. The scholarship is awarded in his memory.
Criteria to Apply:
*Full time degree seeking Anthropology major
*Enrolled in at least 12 credit hours
*3.00 cumulative FLC GPA
*Must have earned 45 credit hours
*Must have completed 16 credit hours of Anthropology coursework
A single award of $200 will be awarded in 2008
(this monetary award will be received in via the registrar’s office
at the beginning of Fall of 2008)

*Essay on your goals in anthropology
Essay Stipulations
A 750 word (maximum) essay explaining your future goals in anthropology. Include how this scholarship will help you reach your goals. You may also incorporate how a barrier that you have overcome will enable you to reach your goals. Please avoid writing a testimonial or autobiography. This essay should be primarily future oriented. Note: Recipient’s of this award are required to write a formal letter of thanks to the FLC Foundation.
**Due Date**
Please place all required materials in a large envelope with your name and Ronnie Thomas Scholarship labeled on it. All materials are due March 31, 2008 to Marge Gomez or Asuka Ide in the secretary’s office (room 273) in the Center of Southwest Studies.
