Modern Language Clubs
- FRENCH CLUB
The goals of this club is to develop a better understanding of the French culture and language by social interaction, movies, and other activities. For additional information, please contact Ellen Hartsfield at Hartsfield_e@fortlewis.edu.
- GERMAN CLUB
The Club is a group that studies German language, culture, and tradition. The club will meet once a week and speak German "Stammtisch" and during Festival times such as Oktoberfest and Christmas.
- JAPANESE CLUB
Introducing contemporary and traditional Japanese culture to students at Fort Lewis College through lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and cultural activities such as Origami, Ikebana, Japanese cooking, Calligraphy, Anime, and movies, while developing a cultural understanding of Japan.
- SPANISH CLUB
The purpose of the Spanish Club is to introduce the Spanish (and Hispanic) culture and to practice the Spanish language in a non-threatening environment. We will explore Spanish-Hispanic-Mexican-and Latin cultures with individuals with similar interests. We will have several activities throughtout the year, including a Christmas Posada and several movie nights.
