Our Environmental Studies program offers students the opportunity to earn an interdisciplinary Environmental Studies degree. The program is interdisciplinary in that it builds on traditional disciplines in the sciences (such as biology and geology), the social sciences (such as sociology and political science), and the humanities (such as literature and philosophy) while also calling upon students to synthesize what they learn in these disciplinary courses. The synthesis of various areas of knowledge and the application of synthesized knowledge to real world problem solving make our program dynamic and highly relevant in a world faced with social and environmental challenges that are inextricably interrelated.
If you are interested in responding to social and environmental
challenges in your studies and your work as a global citizen,
ENVIRONMENTAL STUDIES MIGHT BE THE PROGRAM FOR YOU!
