DETERMINING AWARD AMOUNTS
The Office of Financial Aid determines a student's financial aid award after reviewing the results of their FAFSA. We begin awarding in late March each year. We review applications as they are completed and award on a first-come, first-served basis to students with the greatest need until all financial aid has been offered.
Financial aid awards may include a combination of scholarships, grants, loans and/or work-study. Scholarships and grants are limited, so applicants with high need may be offered a disproportionate amount of loans.
The following charts show sample awards for freshmen early applicants classified as in-state for tuition purposes, living on-campus enrolled full-time for both fall and winter:

FINANCIAL AID DISBURSEMENT
Financial aid is automatically credited to your bill each term when we confirm your full-time enrollment. Financial aid amounts are initially based on hours enrolled for on Census Date each term. Financial aid will be paid for a repeat course when the initial grade is an 'F' or 'W'. Financial aid will only be paid once for a repeat course. The College refunds excess money, after payment of your direct charges, to you at the beginning of the term. Students may pick up refund checks at the Cashier's Office, 140 Berndt Hall. Work-study is not automatically credited; you must earn this award each month.
