DURANGO, Colo. – February 5, 2007 – Fort Lewis College men’s basketball player Tim Bieri (Berthoud/Berthoud) has been named the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) West Division Player of the Week for the week ending February 4th, 2007.
Bieri led the Skyhawks to two consecutive conference wins this weekend as the Skyhawks downed Adams State on Friday night and Colorado State-Pueblo on Saturday night.
The senior led the Skyhawks with a 19-point average and a 59.1 shooting percentage. On Friday night, he hit 7-of-14 from the floor, including 2 three-pointers, for 20 points. He added seven rebounds, three blocks, and six assists. On Saturday the forward went 2-for-2 from two-point range and 4-for-6 from downtown for 18 points. He also dished out a season-high nine assists, while grabbing four rebounds.
Bieri is averaging 18.5 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game. He’s shooting an impressive 54.4% from the floor and 42.4% from beyond the arch.
