Fort Lewis College will field a 102-rider Road Scholars Team for the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic McDonald’s Citizen Tour (to Silverton) to raise funds for the IHBC Scholarship Fund.
New this year! If you don't want to ride the full 50 miles to Silverton, sign up for the FLC Road Scholars riding the Quarter Horse to Purgatory. This is a 25 mile ride to raise funds for the IHBC Scholarship Fund.
The Road Scholars Team/ Citizen's Tour to Silverton is limited to 102 riders. The Road Scholars Team/ Quarter Horse is unlimited in number of participants. Both are open to FLC alumni, current students, faculty/staff, their families or significant others, and FLC supporters.
The $195 Road Scholars Team/ Citizen's Tour registration fee pays for the IHBC McDonald’s Citizen Tour entry fee, a jersey and a fifty dollar tax-deductible donation to the IHBC Scholarship Fund.
The $95 Road Scholars Team/ Quarter Horse registration fee includes an IHBC Quarter Horse registration fee, a Road Scholars t-shirt, and a $25 tax-deductible donation to the IHBC Scholarship Fund. You must sign up by May 3rd.
We will host a happy hour downtown at the Durango Welcome Center, 802 Main Ave., for both teams on May 25th from 5-7pm.
The Iron Horse Bicycle Classic will contribute $10 for each Silverton rider and $5 for each Purgatory rider to the IHBC Scholarship Fund.

- Buckley Park, Friday, May 24, 2013: 5:30-7:30 pm packet pickup for those who didn't get it in the mail, luggage drop off, cowbells and information at the FLC tent.
- Start of McDonald's Citizens Tour to Silverton, Saturday, May 25, 2013: 8:00 am College Dr and Camino Del Rio (Wells Fargo)
- Start of Durango Mountain Resort Quarter Horse to Purgatory, Saturday, May 25, 2013: 8:15 am College Dr and Camino Del Rio (Wells Fargo)
- Happy Hour, Saturday, May 25th 2013: 5-7 p.m. at the Durango Welcome Center, 802 Main Ave. We'll send out invitations.
