To Project a Video
Turn ON the projector with the silver remote control kept by the computer. The projector is located in the back of the classroom in the projection booth, and you may need to get close to the projector to turn it on. Make sure the red power button (top right corner) in the equipment rack is turned on. In the middle of the equipment rack is a switcher, select  the Video button to project a Video. At the bottom of the equipment rack is the volume control. To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

To Project the Computer
Turn ON the projector with the white remote control kept in front of screen. The projector is located in the back of the classroom in the projection booth, and you may need to get close to the projector to turn it on. Select the COMP button to project the computer. At the bottom of the equipment rack is the volume control. To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

Projecting a DVD

Connecting a Laptop
You will need a special cable to connect the laptop to the interface panel. There is one kept in a drawer in the projection booth, or contact Media Services (7115) for one. The cable has a male 15 pin connector on one end that plugs into the laptop. The other end is a 9 pin female connector which plugs into the Aux Interface panel below in the equipment rack. Turn ON the projector with the silver remote control kept by the computer. The projector is located in the back of the classroom in the projection booth, and you may need to get close to the projector to turn it on. Make sure the red power button (top right corner) in the equipment rack is turned on. In the middle of the equipment rack is a switcher, select the Aux button to project a laptop. To turn off the projector press the power button once and then again to confirm.

Lights
There are dimmable incandescent lights and several banks of fluorescent lights in this classroom. There is a master incandescent lighting control panel down in front of the classroom on far side of the blackboard and in the projection booth, as well as a simple on/off button by the left exit doors in the back of the classroom. The fluorescent lights switches are by the left exit doors in the back of the classroom and by the blackboard behind the computer.

Projection Screen
The motorized screen is controlled by what looks like a lone light switch on the wall behind the computer. Flick it all the way down and the screen will automatically unroll to the proper length.

Slide Projector
There is a slide projector in the projection booth.  A key to the booth is available from Media Services (7417). The remote control is plugged into the wall just to the right of the computer cart.
