Accomplishments include:
- Dr. Kasia Sokol, traveled from her native Poland to study on a full scholarship at the Interlochen Arts Academy in 1994.
- She then continued her studies a Western Michigan University where she received her Bachelor of Music degree.
- Dr. Sokol earned her Master of Music degree from Northwestern University
- She received her Doctorate degree from Indiana University with minors in Music History and String Pedagogy.
- Dr. Sokol has studied with such prominent artists as Miriam Fried, Menahem Pressler, and Almita Vamos.
- She performs solo and chamber music concerts in the US as well as in Europe and is a member of the Red Shoe Trio.
- Dr. Sokol is the Director and a Conductor of the Durango Youth Symphony and concertmaster of the San Juan Symphony.
- In her spare time, Dr. Sokol bakes bread, hikes and runs.
