BHP Annual Scholarship Program

Program is open to entering and continuing college students who are Navajo or Ute Mountain Ute Tribal Members.

Requirements

Graduating high school students:

must have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0

bullet

ACT score of 22 or better

bullet

accepted as full-time college student

Full time undergraduate college students:

must maintain a G.P.A. of 3.0 or better (based on a 4.0 grading system)

Major course of study must be in the following areas:

Business Accounting

Environmental/Reclamation Sciences

bullet

Labor/Industrial Relations/Human Resources

Computer/Information Systems

bullet

Purchasing or Occupational Safety

A cover letter indicating career goals and objectives for earning a degree.

As part of the selection process, applicants will be required to meet the Selection Committee for an interview before the selections are final.

Scholarships range fro $250-$1500 per student. Each award is disbursed in early fall and the following Spring semester if the student maintains at least a 3.0 semester grade point average on at least 12 credit hours per semester. Continuation of this scholarship is not automatic so students must reapply every year.
