Skyhawk Football looking for another upset win for Homecoming on October 16

Fort Lewis College shocked the Division II football world last weekend with an upset win over the second-ranked team in the country, CSU-Pueblo. On Thursday, October 16 at 6 p.m. at Dennison Field, the Skyhawks are looking to take down another nationally ranked opponent when Colorado School of Mines comes to Durango for FLC’s Homecoming Football Game.

Dr. Marcelyn Jung named winner of 2014 Achievement Award

Associate Professor of Exercise Science and Gender & Women’s Studies Dr. Marcy Jung’s career at Fort Lewis College is filled with impressive achievements. From the 1988 FLC Volleyball team she coached being inducted into the FLC Athletic Hall of Fame to years spent working on campus wellness initiatives to offering the Commencement invocation each year. FLC Hockey team scores with campus and Durango community

In hockey-crazy Durango, having a new game in town is always welcome. And Durango has zealously welcomed the squad from Fort Lewis College as it brought collegiate hockey to the town's home ice. The 2013-14 season marks FLC Hockey's first season in the American Collegiate Hockey Association. In the league, the Skyhawks play a 15-game schedule against teams from Colorado and New Mexico, including trips to Denver to challenge the Colorado School of Mines and the University of Colorado-Denver, to Albuquerque to face off against the University of New Mexico, and to Gunnison, Colorado, to take on nearby rival Western State Colorado University. Cycling team celebrates 20th anniversary with shot at another #1 season

As the Fort Lewis College Cycling team heads to Boulder for the USA Cycling Cyclo-Cross National Championships this weekend, they'll be competing in the first race of their 20th anniversary year. And come May, they hope to celebrate that milestone in an appropriate manner: with another #1 season. At the nationals, January 8 - 12, FLC aims to boost its shot at earning a fifth #1 Division I end-of-season ranking, adding another memorable year to the team's two decades of cycling excellence. Going into this weekend's competition, Skyhawks Cycling is tied for the #1 position for omnium title for the '13 - '14 season.

Skyhawk Cycling rides for 8th consecutive mountain bike national title

The Fort Lewis College Cycling Team is in Beech Mountain, North Carolina, this week for the 2013 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike Nationals, where they'll try to stay the national champions of Division I collegiate mountain biking for the eighth year in a row. A team omnium title would also be the Skyhawks' 16th national mountain bike national championship in history – including the first-ever collegiate mountain bike national title in 1994, the FLC team's first year on the circuit.
