Free donuts and coffee, served with a smile from Fort Lewis College’s president and provost, at Donuts with Dene & Barbara on Monday, August 29, 2011.

Incoming freshmen and transfer students aren’t the only ones new to campus this year. Dr. Barbara Morris, the College’s newly hired provost and vice president for Academic Affairs, is also preparing for her first semester at FLC.

To introduce all FLC students to the College’s two top leaders, and vice versa, Dr. Morris and Dr. Thomas will be serving free donuts and coffee on Monday, August 29, the first day of classes. Students can grab a donut at three times during the day: 7:50 a.m. in the Education Business Hall Atrium, 8:55 a.m. in the Berndt Hall Foyer, and 10 a.m. in the Noble Hall Lobby.

Donuts with Dene & Barbara is part of the College’s Welcome Week celebration. There are many more activities planned for Welcome Week. Visit http://www2.fortlewis.edu/welcomeweek/home.aspx for the full schedule.
