FLC Cycling Retains Top Ranking in Country at Road Nationals
Alister Ratcliff and the FLC Cycling Team enjoyed success at Road Nationals
The Fort Lewis College Cycling Team solidified its #1 ranking in the country among Division I schools with a third place finish at the 2011 USA Cycling Collegiate Road Nationals in Wisconsin May 6-8. The finish is an improvement over the team’s fourth place in 2010.
In individual accolades, Missy Erickson was the top finisher among the FLC women. She was eighth in the Division I women overall rankings, and her best individual showing was a fourth in the criterium.
On the men’s side, FLC’s Alister Ratcliff took home the top honors in the Division I men’s overall. Alister’s win was definitely helped by a first place finish in the road race. In fact, Fort Lewis College swept the top two spots in the road race with Rotem Ishay taking second.
