David Hunt Annual Ceramics Invitational at Fort Lewis College Art Gallery September 26 – October 24

Fort Lewis College graduate and ceramic artist, Adam Field, currently apprenticing with 6th generation master Onggi potter Kim Il-Mahn in Yeojoo, South Korea will be the featured artist for the annual invitational ceramic exhibition and sale at the Fort Lewis College Art Gallery.  Also participating in the show are thirteen local artists and FLC alumni who are at the forefront of innovation by utilizing varied techniques to create a wide variety of ceramic styles. 

 

In addition to many years of working with ceramics the experience of the artists in this dynamic exhibition include current and past ceramic teachers and several of the artists have been featured in national ceramic publications.  Artists from Durango, Farmington and surrounding area include Leon Arledge, Rebecca Barfoot, Boots Brown, J. Burnite, Chyako Hashimoto, Peter Karner, Louden Kiracofe, Lorna Meaden, Jennifer Neff, Lisa Pedolsky, Scott Roberts, Kay Harper Roberts and Cole Taylor.

 

Opening reception: Friday, September 26, 5 - 7 p.m.

 

Fort Lewis College Art Gallery, 100 Art Building, 1000 Rim Drive, Durango, CO.  Gallery hours: 10 am - 4 p.m., Monday - Friday.
