Tuition & FeesThere are two tuition payment plans utilized by NSE: Plan A and Plan B. Plan A:
Plan B
Students may apply for exchange under Plan A and/or Plan B. The payment plan (A or B) is the determined by the host campus' NSE Coordinator (before or during the spring NSE Conference). Determination is based on the host campus' policies (and economic considerations). NSE and the Native American-Native Alaskan Tuition Waiver: Under Plan A, qualifying Native American and Native Alaskan students from other NSE campuses ARE ELIGIBLE for the Native American Tuition Waiver while on exchange at Fort Lewis. Under Plan B, qualifying Native American and Native Alaskan students from Fort Lewis can utilize the Native American Tuition Waiver and pay no additional tuition while on exchange. Please contact the FLC-NSE coordinator for details on tuition-free exchange for all qualified Native American and Native Alaskan students. Fees On both Plan A and Plan B, fees assessed as a condition of enrollment (e.g., laboratory courses, computer and technology courses, art supplies, etc.) are paid to the host campus. Housing and Meals Room and meal costs on both Plan A and Plan B are paid to your host campus. Please note: Students participating in the NSE are highly encouraged to live in on-campus housing. Other Expenses Students in the NSE program are responsible for all additional costs including transportation to the host campus, additional travel opportunities, and all personal expenses while on exchange. |
Testimonials:“While on exchange, I gained more than I could have imagined. It helped improve my character, develop independence, improve my communication skills, and build life-long friendships with a diverse group of people I met on NSE.” Amy Hambrik “NSE has been like a seminar in diversity. I have learned to appreciate the diverse world in which we live and, most importantly, I now treasure the values and perspectives that differ from my own.” Yajaira Barbot |
