Colorado law (CRS-23-1-113.3) requires that all freshman and transfer students be assessed for their basic skills in mathematics, reading, and writing.  We use ACT, SAT, and Accuplacer scores, previous remedial coursework with a grade of C- or higher, and previous college coursework with a grade of C- or higher to make the assessments according to Colorado Commission on Higher Education policy.
